what we keep, and what we don't

This is a draft for the owner to read and approve. It describes how the site is actually built, but the shop should check it against how it really runs — and have a lawyer look at it if there's any doubt. It only takes effect once online ordering is switched on.

You can read the whole site, browse the menu and build a docket without telling us anything about yourself. We only ask for details when you place an order for pick-up:
We never see your card number. The card box on the payment screen belongs to Square, our payments provider, and your card details go straight to them. This website never receives, stores or transmits them.
Square handles the payment and holds the record of it. Their handling of your information is covered by Square's privacy notice.
Your details are used to make and hand over your order, and nothing else. They go to the till in the shop so the kitchen can see the order, and if you gave an email, to send your receipt. We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Each of these only gets what it needs to do that job. Square stores order records in line with their own terms and Australian law.
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no analytics script on it. Your docket — the list of things you've tapped — is kept in your own browser's storage on your own device. It never leaves your device until you place an order, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Order records stay in Square for as long as the shop's accounting obligations require, which in Australia is generally five years. Nothing extra is kept on this website.
Call the shop on 07 5496 0380 and ask. You're entitled under the Australian Privacy Principles to see what's held about you and to ask for it to be corrected. If you aren't happy with how we've handled it, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
